Covers You Didn’t Know You Needed Until Now   Denzel Curry - “Bulls On Parade” by Rage Against The Machine Earlier this year, Florida-bred rapper Denzel Curry revealed his surprising cover song choice at a Australian radio station, triple j, during their “Like A Version” sessions. Rage Against The Machine are known for their hard rock anthems while still incorporating elements of metal, rap & funk. If you watch Curry’s performance, he is just as vocally strong & energetic as Rage’s lead singer, Zack de la Rocha was in the 90’s. Although, Curry (like myself), was only born in ’95,...

WANTED: 'Brand New Eyes' 10 Year Anniversary Tour

2009 was quite a year for music. Recently, bands like Mayday Parade & All Time Low are announcing dates to celebrate 10 years of their albums’ releases. This got me thinking about other albums that were released in the same year that I would love to see live. In this case— I would die to see live. Since then, I've been really excited to see...

Grayscale Boston Pop-Up Popped Off

(photo by Jordan Mizrahi)Despite the very last minute venue change & the 2-hour delay due to insane traffic, Grayscale still came through & pulled off a great pop-up event in Somerville, Massachusetts last week. The Philadelphia band announced a run of pop-up events to promote their upcoming album, Nella Vita (which will be released 9/6), where they hit Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City & Boston all in one week. I got the chance to swing by their Boston pop-up show to see what all the buzz was about. The band described these events as a “birthday party for...
