How To Help The Music Industry

It's no secret the music industry has been affected by the Coronavirus outbreak & encouraged quarantining. Most independent contractors, self-employers, freelancers, whatever it may be in whichever industry... have been faced with the challenge of endless cancellations & daily restrictions. However, since we here at FBT specialize in the music/entertainment department, that's primarily what we'll be covering here.

What was originally weeks & months of secured work has now been taken away from hundreds of musicians, crew members, venue staff, promoters, agents, etc. For those who have the ability to work from home in the meantime, we encourage you to reach out to those who may be struggling to make ends meet during this anxiety-ridden time. It's also a great time to look into independent creatives & purchase their work (photography prints, paintings, jewelry, etc.) Any bit helps!

If you were going to see a show & it was canceled due to the outbreak, we highly recommend purchasing the artist's merchandise if you can! It's a great way to help them out directly until they know for sure how to proceed with touring.

It's reported that LiveNation lost over 1.5 billion dollars in just the first day of cancelations. So, it's not just smaller companies taking the hit, but they hold priority in terms of financial support. In the meantime, we can only hope for a quick recovery. The FBTFam wishes everyone the best during this time & encourages everyone to practice social distancing especially depending on the severity of your state's infection. Stay safe & clean!
